Remembrance is a powerful time of year, a solemn yet vital occasion for veterans of all ages across every branch of service and conflict. For many, it’s a time to reflect, remember, and honour the sacrifices made by fellow servicemen and women.
This year, the Northern Ireland Veterans Commissioner’s Office sought to capture what Remembrance means to veterans across Northern Ireland—from the Royal Navy, the Army, and the RAF. To bring their stories to life, we filmed veterans sharing their reflections at historic venues across Northern Ireland, including HMS Caroline, the Northern Ireland War Memorial Museum, and the Ulster Aviation Society. Each setting provided a fitting backdrop for these unique and heartfelt stories.
Through this video project, we hope to convey the deeply personal sentiments of the veterans who kindly shared their experiences with us. To all those who serve or have served, we extend our sincere thanks for your sacrifice and service. This Remembrance season, may we all take a moment to honour the courage and commitment of our armed forces community, past and present.
